...Lindsay Lohan's Los Angeles home was robbed while she was in New York shooting "Just My Luck," according to Los Angeles police. More than $10,000 worth of TVs, DVD players and other electronic equipment was stolen from the singer/actress, while her liquor cabinet and closet were also raided. Police are investigating.

...Kinks frontman Ray Davies, who is currently on tour, failed to testify against the man who allegedly drove the getaway car for the gunman who stole Davies' female companion's purse at gunpoint and shot the singer in the leg during a January 4, 2004, attack in New Orleans. The defendant was released Wednesday after the prosecution dismissed charges, The Associated Press reports. The district attorney for the case said Davies had informed them of his unavailability until December. The DA said they plan to reinstate charges once the singer returns and is able to testify against the accused

...Jimi Hendrix's younger brother, Leon Hendrix, says he took up the guitar several years ago after a purple flame shot out of the sky and possessed him in bed, revealing a vision of his brother floating above him.
"I could see Jimi up there, beckoning," he recalled. "He was saying, 'Come on, baby brother. It's time. You're ready.' Since then, I feel like he's sanctioned me to carry on his musical legacy."
And after a lifetime of living the blues - including foster homes, drug addiction and other hardships ? Mr. Hendrix, 56, says he finally has a reason to sing them: he was recently cut out of his brother's $80 million estate.

...An airborne bottle cut rock band Kasabian's set short Friday night at the Academy in Glasgow, Scotland, after an audience member pitched the projectile at guitarist Sergio Pizzorno's head, leaving him with a sizable gash that required six sutures. In a statement, Pizzorno said it was "a shame the actions of one person put an end to our best gig all year" and recommended that those who see the band live in the future, should they feel the urge to throw anything, "throw bras and knickers from now on."

...JOHN LENNON's son SEAN tried to start a fight with a punk rock bassist during an appearance at Britain's ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES festival this weekend.
Sean, who was joined by his mother YOKO ONO at PONTIN'S holiday resort in England's Camber Sands, took exception to the JAYNE COUNTY AND THE ELECTRIC CHAIRS bassist because he was sporting a stereotypically punk hairstyle.
Singer JAYNE COUNTY says, "It angers me that Sean Lennon, son of John - a member of The Beatles, who I love - can be so drunk and narrow-minded to pick a fight with my bass player because he has a mohawk.
"He was surrounded by girls and thought my bass player was competition so he started picking on him. He was out of order and was slagging him, saying he was old and had a **** haircut.
"I think he's insecure. Security had to step in and separate them or blood would have been spilled. The gig went brilliantly but Sean Lennon spoiled it for me. He's a loser."

...British soul sensation JOSS STONE has been accused of costing her local rugby club a place in the cup final - by forcing free Champagne upon them at her 18th birthday party earlier this month.
The star invited the CULLOMPTON COLTS team to her bash in Devon, England, and encouraged them to take advantage of the free alcohol.

...Elton John told a reporter for England's Daily Mirror that he plans to marry his partner of more than a decade, David Furnish, late this year or early in 2006. Same-sex civil partnerships will become legal in England under a new law set to go into effect Dec 5.

...Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary, who has been battling leukemia, will undergo a bone marrow transplant after finding a donor.

...SAMMY HAGAR was interviewed on St. Louis radio station KSHE-FM yesterday (April 25th) and spoke about a couple of interesting things.
Sammy says he and Van Halen drummer Alex are great friends and "will remain great friends." He also stated that there is no Van Halen activity planned, adding that he was "done with it."
In solo news, Sammy stated that he is planning a bigger tour for the Waborita's in coming months and has built his own studio called Red Rocker Recording Studio

...Universal Music Group is facing accusations of racketeering, fraud, trade libel and breach of contract in a $100 million lawsuit files by two independent promoters, National Music Marketing and Majestic Promotions, claiming they were forced to submit false invoices to help Universal recoup promotional expenses, according to a Reuters report. The lawsuit states that National and Majestic were fired when they would not submit the fake invoices. It also alleges that Universal told radio stations to cease business with the promoters.

...Joss Stone will release a cover of the classic tune "The Right Time," made popular by Ray Charles. The track will be heard in a new series of ads for The Gap and available as a free download from the clothing chain's Web site beginning April 28.

...Pixies star Frank Black has recorded a duet with Courtney Love for his upcoming solo album. The song in question is 'Strange Goodbye', while the album 'Honeycomb' is due for release in late July.

...MEGADETH will play in Israel for the first time, marking the third top international performer to announce concert dates in Israel since Prime Minister Sharon and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas declared an end to four years of violence.
MEGADETH will take part in Israel's annual "Metalist Festival" on June 22 at the Hangar 11 club in Tel Aviv

...Kelly Osbourne is in trouble with Animal rights activists for dying her pet dog's fur bright pink.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) members, insist colouring her bulldog Piglet's coat in human hair dye poses a threat to the pooch's health.
PETA say Kelly should treat her dog like a pet, not a fashion accessory.
A spokesperson went on to say: "It is very irresponsible to subject a 13-week-old puppy to chemicals that most people aren't willing to put on their heads."

...Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, were in Thailand to watch their son Jack fight in his first Thai kickboxing match, a newspaper reported today.
The only son of rock star Ozzy and his wife donned boxing gloves and a traditional headband before knocking out a veteran Thai fighter known as The Man in just eight seconds last night at a stadium in the seaside resort town of Pattaya.
The celebrity couple cheered from ringside during the bout, held after Jack spent about three weeks training at the Fairtex Muaythai Fitness Camp near the capital Bangkok.

...85-year-old sitar maestro Ravi Shankar is set to perform for the first time this summer at the BBC's Promenade concerts at the Royal Albert.
He will perform his sitar Symphony No1 with his daughter Anoushkar, a disciple of Ravi Shankar who has risen to be one of the leading sitar players in the world.
Anoushkar will perform the 40 min sitar symphony with the BBC Symphony Orchestra lead by conductor Jurjen Hempel. Tanmoy Bose will play the tabla.
Following the interval for the second part of the evenings programme Ravi Shankar will perform a series of Sandhya (evening) ragas.
Shankar composed the first ever concerto for sitar written for a Western orchestra, which premiered in London in 1971, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, conductor, Andre Previn and Ravi himself as a soloist. He wrote a second concerto in 1981, this time in tandem with the New York Philharmonic and its conductor, close friend Zubin Mehta.

...A wrongful termination lawsuit brought by Bruce Kuhlman, a former employee of the Grammy-winning Carlos Santana. Kuhlman claims in an Apr. 13 filing that he was fired by Santana and wife Deborah because Kuhlman was not very "enlightened," according to Reuters.
A lawyer for Santana has declined to comment on the lawsuit.
Kuhlman says he was axed by Deborah Santana after her spiritual guru, one Dr. Dan, determined through a test called "Dr. Dan's Neuro-Emotional Technique" that Kuhlman's "enlightenment/consciousness level" was too low and he was too old to elevate it. Dr. Dan is quoted in the suit as saying "that the more enlightened a person was, the closer to God he was and the better employee he was."

...Thanks to strong initial demand for tickets, Paul McCartney is now set to play two-night stands in several cities during his upcoming North American tour.
Promoters have added second nights in Philadelphia; Auburn Hills, MI; Boston: Los Angeles; Anaheim, CA; Chicago; and San Jose, CA.
McCartney will launch his outing--in support of an as-yet untitled new album--on Sept. 16 in Miami, and dates currently stretch into late November. It's been three years since McCartney last toured North America.
According to a press release, fans can expect to hear material from McCartney's Beatles, Wings and solo careers, as well as songs that "have yet to be or haven't been performed on American soil in nearly 15 years." Among the new numbers will likely be songs from McCartney's upcoming album, the release date for which hasn't been announced.
"We are looking forward to playing again in America," McCartney said in a statement. "They know how to have a good time and we're there to give it to them. It'll be fun to visit some new places, to see some old faces and to do things a bit differently this time. We're ready to rock."
Backing McCartney on stage will be drummer Abe Laboriel, Jr., guitarist Rusty Anderson, guitarist/bassist Brian Ray and keyboardist Paul "Wix" Wickens.

...Last August, the attorneys for KISS obtained an injunction against the sale of counterfeit KISS merchandise and seized bootleg videos of KISS concerts that were being offered for sale at a KISS Expo in North Carolina. Our attorneys, following up on that seizure, obtained last week a permanent injunction against defendant Roy Damm and damages awarded to Kiss Catalog of $7,000,000, plus attorneys' fees.

...Wal-Mart is getting into the mix CD business. The mega-retailer announced this week that visitors to its Web site can now choose songs from among its 400,000-song library to burn onto a disc, which will then be mailed out within 3-4 days. Customers can choose the title of the mix CD and pick from a number of cover art options. A three-song custom CD will cost $4.62, plus 88 cents for each additional song and $1.97 for shipping

...Things got Wylde at The Big Easy this afternoon, and a concert scheduled for tonight got canceled soon after.
Boise Police were summoned to the concert club around 3 p.m. after getting a call about a possible fight. When they arrived, they found that considerable damage had been done inside The Big Easy. Witnesses said the damage was done by guitarist Zakk Wylde using a baseball bat, Boise police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said.
Officers detained Wylde and another man, Charles Hurd, for about a half hour. Nobody involved wanted to press charges, so the case was dropped, police said.
Wylde, longtime guitarist for metal vocalist OZZY OSBOURNE, was scheduled to play at The Big Easy tonight with his band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The gig was nixed shortly after the afternoon incident.
?The show was canceled due to illness,? Big Easy co-owner Paul Thornton said.

...Rocker TOMMY LEE is playing down his latest romantic encounter after reportedly seducing a transvestite in a Seattle, Washington club.
The MOTLEY CRUE star was a guest DJ at Club Medusa when he spotted the blonde bombshell, according to American tabloid the NATIONAL ENQUIRER, and made his move.
According to onlookers, the rocker invited his date into a VIP area of the club and spent the evening kissing her before she headed for the restrooms and was spotted relieving herself at the men's urinals.
The news didn't get back to Tommy Lee, however, and the drummer left the club with his new friend.

...FRANZ FERDINAND singer ALEX KAPRANOS has accepted rapper SNOOP DOGG's invitation to join him in the studio.

Simply referring to the band as "the people that sang TAKE ME OUT", the hip-hop veteran last month announced his desire to collaborate with the Scottish rockers on a mixed-genre tune.
And while Franz Ferdinand share Snoop Dogg's enthusiasm, they've hit back at the rapper by pretending to forget his name in their response.
Singer ALEX KAPRANOS says, "Someone told me the guy who does DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT wants to collaborate with us. That's great. I love that song and like his style."

...COLDPLAY have joined THE BEATLES in the history books as the only two British bands to have scored a top 10 new entry in the American singles chart.
The CHRIS MARTIN-fronted group have entered the BILLBOARD rundown at number eight with their new tune SPEED OF SOUND, from their long-delayed third album X+Y.
The legendary Fab Four are the only other UK outfit to have recorded the same achievement - they reached number 10 with HEY JUDE in 1968.

...Latina superstar JENNIFER LOPEZ is prepared to face animal rights activists at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film MONSTER-IN-LAW next week.
The sexy singer has long infuriated animal lovers with her penchant for fur clothes, and recently hit the headlines because her new SWEETFACE clothing line is full of animal skin.
And after discovering PETA's plans to protest at both the LA and Atlanta premieres of her romantic comedy, J.Lo is prepared to ignore the angry crowds.
Lopez says, "They have targetted me but I don't give a lot of energy to organisations like that. It's their tactics that one can find fault with.
